Should the government provide child day care centers for working parents?

I think the government should provide day care for working parents. It's not cheap to place a child in day care. My niece used to be in day care and my brother paid more than $400 per month for just one child. Image if you have more that one child who need to be in day care, would the parent have to pay $800 dollar or more per month. A government should have some kind of support to help the family who in need of day care. As I mentioned earlier day care are expensive, and some of parent can't work due to the fact that there no one to take care their child while they're working. So the government should provide day care center for working parents.
